X-Files

Went to watch 2 movies last week. X files & Dark Knight.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson is once again FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

The movie I feel is more like a remarkably long episode of the TV show; it’s a stand-alone story, long, very ala X-files, longggg, slow, longggggggg (ok.. ive mentioned long many times..  )

Both Mulder and Scully have left the FBI long ago; she’s a physician at a hospital; he seems to spend his time cutting things out of newspapers in hiding somewhere very ‘ulu’. FBI somehow lose some agents, and needs a favour from them, so brings them back into the world of the paranormal: Mulder’s assistance is needed in a case involving a missing FBI agent and a priest (who is a child rapist) who sees visions of the missing woman.

The story, once it unfolds, turns out to be both uninvolving and a little silly. A subplot involving a sick little kid at the hospital got me off the suspense of the main plot. Dr. Scully meticulously Googles “stem cell research,” prints out some random things and ugly pictures, and uses those highly doubtful into from the net for her surgery!!!!! (No, I don’t want to believe. At least, I want to believe that doctors have access to something better than Google.) 

Sayang went with me too, he didnt like it much either. For it, it was plain boring and LOOOOONNNNGGGGG!!!

But I did learn a new sentence that I liked though..

“kiss his holy ass”

So if any of your colleagues is sucking up to the boss, tell them that…

In any case, if you loved the x-files for the strong characters as I did, I believe you will enjoy ‘I want to Believe’.

2 Weddings and a roadtrip = a big belly

Recent weekend was very full-filling. (literally)

We attended 2 weddings, (0 funeral, thank god) and had a road trip.

This thread will  be filled with food pics!!~~!! So ENJOY!

This little Crepe Cottage serves the best crepe & pancake desert. Situated in Gurney Drive, somewhere near the 7eleven and a mamak shop with blue signboard. Good luck finding it..

This is Sunburst. SO YUMMY!!!!!!!! The Mango Sherbet is TO DIE FOR. YUM YUM!

They speciallized in baked prawns nd crabs. YUM YUM1

We had a little fried bi hun as well, nothing special about this.

But I ate a great deal of prawns and crabs. And also loads of other food throughout our 2 day trip.

So, Im getting fatter again.. ARGHHHHHHHHH

Fun Day with the CHICKS

 More on wedding preparation stuff… bear with me..

This one is about my Ji Mui (sisters) Photoshoot.

Taken at Daily Lifestyle Studio, Sri Hartamas and outdoor at Solaris.

The day started super early for me. Had to rush to get my make up and hair done, had to meet my gals as some do not know the place, have to do all before it weather gets too hot and us gals might start to melt. Puteri Lilins, yes, thats what we are…

Was glad everyone was there already when I arrived, chilling out, making lotsa noise at the mamak nearby for breakfast. That put me in such a good mood knowing that they were all happy and excited for this shoot as well. At 1st, I was worried it is too much to ask of my friends to go thru this with me. Some people did discourage me saying its a waste of money, and im putting a huge burden on the gals, and wedding was suppose to be just bride and groom, I mean, there were many different opinions I’ve got from many people. But, then Kevin said it, ultimately, it is what I myself wants, and do the girls want the same. So long story shorts, after about a few weeks of planning with the gals, finally WE DID IT!!~~!!~~!!

Went to the studio after breakfast, get changed and all, started our outdoor shoot at about 930pm.

Theme of my wedding will be Black & Pink.  Flowers for me, Pink Gerbera, and for the gals.. Daisies. (I suck at knowing the names of the flowers,  just found out the actual names after the photoshoot. )

We did many wacky, funny and creative shots. One of them is this. Right at the middle of the road, all behind me with their half body pop out to the sides. Its harder than it looks. We have to dash to the middle of the road when theres no traffic, and dash back when a car comes, we did it like 10 times to get a perfect shot!!~~!! Big thanks to photographers Panda, Katak and Alan for being so patient with us. We were a superbly hyper active bunch of gals..

There’s lotsa shots with me leading and the gals at the back. So, we conluded that Im the Ibu Ayam, and they are the Anak Ayams.. (sounds very wrong eh.. )

While the pro photographers are shooting the guys (yes, Kevin had his heng tais as well, somehow I dont have any pics of them, just bz camwhoring with my gals.. ), so Way Huay’s hubby to be, Mr Daniel Ang, an aspiring photographer, coax us into doing some shots for him as well. OK, Im lying… no coaxing or watsoever  needed, we camwhored willingly posed..

AND it was some pretty great shots!

I kinda like the fact that every single gals black dress is a different cut and flair. At 1st I wanted all to be spaghetti straps, to be synchronized, but after looking at this pictures, it brings out the individuality of every single one of them. It was a wonderful coincidence eh..

We went back to the studio when it gets too hot and we had many outdoor shots. At the studio, as usual, the camwhoring starts..

And we had lotsa fun shots. Our very famous Baja Hitam pose. Dont know why we do it, we look like some retards, but we love it! Thanks to everyone who just played along and do ridiculous stuff..

And I love this shot!!~~!! Of course all these pics are behind the scene shots, I cant wait to see the actual pictures from the photogrphers! Woot!

Behind The Scene of my Pre Wedding Shoot

I want to appologize..

For all the mean things I say about models, that they have a pretty easy job, look pretty, stay thin, fit in the clothes and stand or sit around and smile. Modelling is a piece of cake and only pretty and stupid gals would do. I take allllllll that back…. cos..

I went for my pre wedding photoshoot yesterday, and oh boy, after 1030am – 9pm, I realized that modelling is no piece of cake. My face is practically frozen and I cant remember what my natural smile is anymore. I arrived early, feeling all geared up for this shoot. Being a true self declared cam-whore, I thought this is a pretty easy job for me. Even Sayang thought so.

After an hour plus of make up and hair do, we are all excited to start the shoot. Into the dark cold studio we go, and… its a mess. Furnitures everywhere, many different sets of scenes scattered all over the studio. So this is what is looks like in reality, nothing like what I’ve imagine. In pictures, its just so clean, beautiful and.. easy. So we started the 1st pose and brace ourselves for a long day head. Instead of letting us pose anything we want, the photorapher actually instructs us where to stand, how to pose. To the extend of this.

1) Turn your body the backdrop, back facing the camera

2) Now turn your head towards the camera.

I went “hurh”? How? Break my neck?

and he continues

3) Tilt head up

4) Tilt face down

5) Look right, far right

6) No look left a bit

7) Look right again, aiya.. not too right.. left left  

Tilt foward, can see your double chin! Not so forward, you look like a giraffe!

NEVER KNEW MY HEAD AND FACE CAN DO SO MANY THINGS AND FOLLOW DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS – IN CANTONESE!!!

Then there is the smiling part

1) ok… position set.. now smile…

2) Happy smile

3) Not so broad.. smile a bit only

4) Very fake la, smile again… ok good.. hold hold hold…. hold hold…. hold hold..

5) CLICK!

aarghhh… TIU!~!~!~!  Next pose…….

Then there is this.

1) me standing on a platform (cos i was much shorted comparing to kevin)

2) Look to your left

3) Turn & twist really fast towards your right (to create the flying skirt effect)

4) Stop and face the camera. Look into the camera.

I went “hurh” How? Im doing a 270′ spin on a mini platform with my heels and big can can! Oh gawd……

I tried anyway, failed a few times as I wobbled, and trying to aim and stop to stare in the camera..  piece of cake.. yeah.. piece of huge ass indigestable rubber cake!!!!

So, my sincere appologies again to you models out there, tough job you have there… tough…. real tough

All and all, we had lotsa fun. Make up artist Cat and Photographer Wang was funny and cheery. Made the shoot a lot more pleasurable.

Here are some of the outfits and some outdoor shoot.

Went to Titiwangsa area for my outdoor photoshoot, the horse ranch, eye of malaysia and some lake with water shooting out of em. Horses were stinky, but pretty corportive. Sayang even rode on them, with some ala trench coat outfit. Pretty good in pictures. But he was sweating like a pig. hahaha.. and the park was… a boring old park. Bet it look good in pictures, in reality we just felt bloody embarassed. Families having picnic were just treating us like entertainment. Little kids kept pointing at me, and there is an annoying cat who kept trying to get in our shot. WTF!

I love this experience, dearly!

MOS?

Finally, after the huge buzz about having our very own Ministry Of Sound in Malaysia, I finally stepped foot in that overly promoted place. Would say that my 1st impression of that place wasn’t all that good. Or perhaps I have set a too high expectation after looking at the pictures Lucia posted up.

Firstly there was a super crazy long queue at 11pm!!!! Thank god we had a guest list and went straight in. And there was that security check where you practically strip off everything you have that is not covering your vital areas. We went through the metal detector scannor, place our stuff in a teeny plastic container, all very ala KLIA security. I wonder what do they expect to find?  A pistol in my teeny hand bag? If I plan to kill someone, would need a pistol right? With that kinda environment, would just smuggle some rat poison and pop it in my victims drink. Job well done.

Anyways, all in all, MOS was not that bad. I enjoyed the scene, the furnitures, some people, the environment, the drinks and the music. They were playing house, so some R&B fans like Lucia and few others we not so into it at 1st, but after some drinks, they caught on fine.

Another reason why I was so looking forward to MOS was to meet someone. Not that kinda “meet someone”.  I meant meet Way Huay’s ’someone’.

In a desperate search of some baby pics of mine for the wedding slides, somehow browse through some not so baby pics that weren’t very pleasant. I was a fugly little kid. Pimply, scawny, goofy smile and SHORT. I’m still short, but as I’ve grown, and as I’ve earned my own money, I embraced technology and stock myself up with lotsa 4 inches heels. MINIMUM! God, pls dont give me knee problems anytime soon aight?!

Also, found pics with ex bf’s and err… non bf’s? No need to define, but lotsa other pics. Cringed when I saw some of them.. WHAT WAS I THINKING?

Stashed along with these junk pics, are also pics with some people so called friends, who some just drifted away, some hung around but I shy-ed away to avoid more toxic and betrayal, and some simply.. there, but rarely in contact. Hrmph… makes me wonder does growing up means we have less capacity in our lifes and heart for other ppl? Or is my sayang just growing so fat that he took up the whole space?

OK.. Never look back… just need to make a point to keep in touch with those of worthy and may they accept me back to their lifes….

Just gotta remember not to play in the sun. Photoshoot on Tuesday, cant afford to get tan or I will look more and more like an Indon.. (famous comments from ppl who Ive just met… hrmph.. i do wonder…)

Don’t you wish you are a kid again?

As we have grown so much into adulthood, its a blurry vision of what our childhood was. At least for me. Cant even recall those birthdays I celebrated as a kid. Do remember lotsa parties, but honestly cant recall what my cake looks like, or who came to my party, or was I even happy. Gonna raid my Malacca home for pictures the next time I’m back. So why the sudden ‘down memory lane’ vibe?

A good friend of mine celebrated his bday recently. Not telling how old he just turned, but its like re-living his 3rd bday again..

Little baby Xan Der had his bday party on the same day… so we thought, why not prep Ed up for a childhood like bday again!!!~~!!~!! We have balloons, McDonalds kiddy pack, party hats and props, and most of all, a bunch of party till you drop kinda friends.

He truly has been through a lot, am glad this was one hell of a birthday….

It’s amazing how very different ppl came to know each other. Guess it is a small world after all…

Finally every one of us gets to lick nipples and suck dicks in public and not ashame of it.
